Changing it up a bit

Wow...yet again it has been a while since I've been on here, with saying that, I was thinking of changing up my blog a bit. I have decided to make this blog more on fitness and staying healthy.
You see I haven't done anything related to beauty in a very long time, don't get me wrong, I still love it, and I still do a few makeup gigs on the side, but I have decided to focus on somso ething i really enjoy, and what has now become a strong addiction for me....WORKING OUT!!!

In the beginning of 2011 I made a strong choice in changing up my lifestyle. I was very unhappy with the way I looked, I wanted to feel confident and accepting of my body, so I took the first step of getting off the couch, and took the road to exercise.

After 3 kids I was weighing in at 150lbs, with a bunch of unwanted fat through out my body, so about 6 months into my workouts, i was able to drop 15lbs, which made me so happy, about 2 months after i lost another 5 lbs, so here I am today, 20 lbs down, and happier than ever.
Although i have reached my goal of losing 20 pounds, I am not done yet, this is just the beginning of my new healthy life, I am know working on defining my body, i don't want to be skinny, I want to be fit and toned.

I had an amazing and fun opportunity to collaborate with a few photographers on a photo shoot.
I love show casing my art work when the photography comes from professionals.
It was a long and tiring night, it actually ended around 12:30am, when I thought I would be done at 8pm, and get home to my kids.
I was supposed to only do 3-4 people for makeup, but when I got there, I found there to be and 3 extra girls, so 7 girls in total, I definitely had that night cut out for me. Although I was tired and hungry, I had a fun time.

All the girls looked so amazing, and so fricken hot!!! So I want to share with you all these amazing photos.

My oh My, has it ever been a long time since I've blogged. There just has been so many things going on in my life, that I just haven't had enough time to blog about anything.

I am hoping that this is the first of many blogs that i will be blogging in the next few days..weeks..months...whatever...i just want to get back into action...how I've missed out.

I've been busy doing make up for a few weddings this past summer...I've been getting my game on..haha..I'll be sharing some pics in upcoming posts.

I was working as a make up artist for a local make up company, But I've decided for myself that I much rather prefer to do it on my own.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time working with the Company, I appreciated the experience it gave me, working with so many different p

eople, and working different events.

I think that I prefer doing the hands on, rather than selling products, so I turned to Freelance, and now I totally enjoy what I'm doing.

Other than that..I'm just a busy mom taking care of my 3 little babies. I couldn't be happier.

I came across this site that sells bath and body oils for your skin.
Basically it is a skin care and health product site. I find all the product to seem fairly interesting. If you have any skin allergies, or joint pains, these products can relieve those pain.
It pretty much can work for everything related to beauty and skin care.
For a person who has given birth 3 times, I have managed to get those unflattering stretch marks, and with some of their products, they have one that can help diminish the look of them.
Even though I haven't personally tried them myself, this is something I am going to look at purchasing. If you check out there site, you will find a lot of products that can help you, with whatever you are suffering with, such as headaches, acne, eczema, and more. Their prices are very reasonable, and like it says on their website "it is the most therapeutic and healing substances on the planet".
I'm kind of glad that I came across this site, I've never seen any other company that carries products that cure any kind of body ailments. This would be good for me to try, and if it really does work, it also sounds like great gifts to purchase for those people you love, who, may as well be suffering from some of those ailments.

There are just so many things that I want to purchase online, especially the things that I can't find here where I'm from. I'm totally into home decorating, and since I'm staying at home to raise my kids, I tend to watch a lot of Decorating shows.
So with that, I'm constantly on the internet trying to find all of these modern style furnishings to suit my tastes. I've come across plenty of sites that have the types of furniture I want, I would by them here, but what I'm looking for is just not available.

The Love of Valentines

As a married girl, I love Valentines day. Every new year that comes along that I'm still with my husband, makes me feel so blessed that I have someone who loves me just as much as he does. I remember our first valentines together, it was just so sweet :)
We were downstairs in the basement, then he told me to come upstairs, so I went up and followed his voice, and when I walked in to where he was, he was there with these sweet little gifts.
He had them lined up on the the bed, which was so super cute, first was the "Notebook" Movie, because he knew that it was my favorite movie, next was a dozen red roses (which also are my favorite) and this big giant bear (which I think says love on it). I thought it was so sweet, that a young guy would think of something like that.
Then there was another occasion when it was Valentines day, and he was asking me what I wanted, and I said "Diamonds are a girls best friend" though its true, I was only joking with him.
But when it came down to giving the gifts, I opened mine, and guess what it was? Yes, He bought me Diamonds, a diamond Necklace, and matching Diamond earrings. Oh How I love My man.
Now I just wonder what this year's Valentine's Will bring. Even though Valentines is such a sweet occasion that you want to spend with your loved ones, it can also be a stressful and expensive day. You just want to make sure that what you get for your lovers, is something that they really will love.
With that being said, some people just don't have the funds sometimes, because they have all these things to pay for, and sometimes it's also good if you have an understanding partner that knows you can't get them something this year. But there are those others who don't care what your situation is, "you have to get them something, or else". Hey guys, I thought I'd just fill y'all in on what has been going on in my life.
Well recently, just on October 8th I delivered a healthy new baby boy, weighing in at 7lbs 4 oz.
I'm so happy that I finally have a baby boy, my family is now complete with 2 girls and a boy.
So we named him JOSIAH MARTIN MARIO, Martin was after my husbands late grandfather, and Mario is after my Dad who also passed away, and Josiah, well i've always liked that name, and plus it's from the bible.

My labour was only4 hours, much faster than the other 2, and I was so surprised on how easy it went, a lot less painful, and a lot less screaming.
I bet a lot of mother's who are in labour, getting dolled up is the last thing on their mind, they just think about the pain, getting to the hospital, and getting the baby out, but for me is the other way around.

When I realized I was actually in labour, i told myself " i guess i should get ready and put my make up on". So through all those painful contractions, i was able to put on my make up to get ready to give birth. I've been like that with all 3, i guess when pictures are being taken, i just want to look decent enough, and not look like a hot mess.

So life with 3 kids is really a stuggle, its super hard when you have all little ones, especially when they all cry at the same time, you just want to pull out all your hair and scream. There is a lot you have to sacrifice, but I love my life, I love being a mom, and I woouldn't change it for anything. I just think about it this way, I'm 25 y/o with 3 kids and I'm DONE!!! AND HAPPY!!

Getting Inked

Tattoos, you got to hate it, or you got to love it. For me, I've got all the tattoos that I need, and I'm done! I have 3 tattoos, and my most recent tat is on my foot, and it goes around my ankle.
After experiencing the pain of that tattoo, I've clearly decided that I am done with getting inked!!!
The Pain was so unbearable, it felt like i was getting my foot sawed off!!! YIKES!!
But its obvious that tattoos are a popular thing to get, not matter how painful it can be, and how long it takes to get done, people still want to go for another, I really don't know what it is, is it the pain and torture that gives their body that shock of excitement?
Who knows, its probably just an obsession, just like how I'm obsessed with make up, they can spend all their money in their pocket, even if its enough to get a new car, they'd rather get the ink.
I came across this article, and it talks about different celebs and their tats, and how some of them use their body as a canvas of permanent art.
To be honest, I don't like the look of someones body that is all inked out, I think it looks dirty. If a guy just has one big piece on his back, and it has symbolic meaning, then I think that will look hot!
For example, KAT VON D, She is absolutely gorgeous, but I just think that her beauty was erased with all those tattoos, when she did that photo shoot when she was wearing lingerie, they airbrushed all her tattoos, and I swear, she looked so much more beautiful.
That's just my opinion, I know she is a famous tattoo artist, and she's gotta have them, but i'm clearly just giving an example. Thats just my take on tattoos.

It is obvious that there are a lot of you bloggers out there. You blog for fun, and share some of the the things you love. I've seen a lot of blogs that have super wonderful layouts, and its super amazing. But for some of you bloggers and bloggettes, why not do something you like, and get the most out of it?
I am going to be talking about the "Blog Advertising Store" check their site right here.

It works best if your blog itself has a lot of viewers/followers, so in that way when one person see's it, and finds it interesting, they'll go off and tell the next person, and so on. Hey everyone, OMG, it has definately been such a long time since I updated anything on here. I've just been super busy, and super lazy..haha. I'm just happy that I'll be done working soon, and starting to enjoy my 1 year maternity leave...yehey!!!
Anyways, I just wanted to update you guys on this event that I will be part of, and something that I'm totally excited about.
So this Saturday, August 29th, There will be this Event called "FASHIONISTA" Here in winnipeg manitoba, held at the Repubic Nightclub.
And what this event will be about is strictly in the word itself, its bringing out and showing you your inner Fashionista..haha.
There will be 10 models who will be modelling some hip and HOT outfits from some of our hotspot shops here in winnipeg, but the thing that I'm really excited about is that I will be doing the Makeup for some of the models. Whoot!!! The make up is gonna be so fierce, i totally can't wait!
So me and a few gals from Team Provici are also gonna be at the club the whole night offering Free makeup touchups, and lashes that are for sale.
This is gonna be so exciting for me, I hope i can take a lot of pics so I can show y'all!!

Summer in the sun and Night

Looking for the right summer outfit isn't all that easy. Every year there are always new trends to sport for every season.
For choosing swimwear in the sun, there are a lot of styles to choose from (obviously). Not all bathing suits suit all body types, but if you are confident about your body, then flaunt it baby. Some of the styles of swimwear are styles like "Monokini's" which is a one piece bathing suit that has cut outs adding curves to wear you need them, and hide what you want to be hidden. Then we got the traditional "one piece and two piece swimsuit" and the list goes on and on. So I suggest that, whatever you feel comfortable in, whether it is a 2 piece swimsuit, or shorts and a tank top, just all out go for it.
And outfits for a fun night out can be anything from a sexy mini dress to nice pair of skinny jeans, sexy top, and some high heels, and you just got to have the right kind of accessories to go with it.Here are some of the hottest trends and styles to choose from, i'm sure if you're in the mood for it, you can fit all styles. I personally think every one of those styles look HOT, and something i definately will wear.
Again, looking good, isn't all that easy..but its so worth it in the end, if you look and feel good, that's all that matter.

Summer Bright Eyes, and Happy Canada day

Lately I've been wearing the yellow and orange combination. I just think it looks so snazzy...I love it!!! I've been wearing it especially to work, because it is actually the brand of cosmetics that I work for.
I thought that I'd add blue to the look to make it seem more summery, or tropical. I really like it!! My husband thinks it looks like a peacock..i guess it could be that too. LOL.

Aside from doing this look, it was also Canada's birthday! I have no idea though how old Canada is..but it's always a fun and packed day.
We actually decided to take the kids to the Zoo, but when we got there, we got there to late..and it was closing. So we then decided to hang around the Assinaboine park, and let the kids play, when we actually got around to finding some parking spot, we discovered that there was a festival going on there. There were performances, a whole bunch of different jolly jumpers for the kids to play in, and food.
But get this, again..as soon as we got there and lined up for the kids to play..they were closing=(
I was bummed...we came too late again.
So we just ended up taking the kids to mcdonalds for some Ice cream. So all in all.. i guess we had an Ok Canada Day=)

A New look on Botox

It has come to my understanding that the use of botox not only is used to get rid of fine lines, and enhance the facial features, there is so much more that the use of botox can do for you.
A lot of people tend to get botox injections to maybe give them a look of higher cheekbones, give them fuller lips, and lift the eyebrows and the list goes on and on.
But what i recently found out was that you can use the injection of botox to relieve any pain that you have in your body, like severe back pains and headaches.
Another use of botox is for people who are cross eyed. By injecting the botox in the right muscle area, it can realign the eyes, making them look normal.
There are many more studies out there that botox can cure. If are wondering if everything is a permanent process, the answer might be somewhat of a downer.
After getting the injections, it may cure your pain and disabilities for about 4 months, then after the injections have subsided, the pain and cross eyededness and such can return.
There really is no bad side affects that can happen to you other than that.

Even though i suffer from back pain here and there, or want some cheek lifts and such, i personally don't think i'll ever get botox injections, I'm just to chicken to go through anything like that.

Ok..before more of you make any more comments about my last post on my "MAC" haul. Let me just fill you in.
OK..so a bunch of you guys were leaving me comments saying that my MAC purchase was "FAKE".
To let you guys know, I AM WELL AWARE THAT THEY ARE NOT AUTHENTIC, I KNEW THEY WERE FAKE WHEN I BOUGHT THEM!
I love MAC, and I definately have real mac items, but when I saw this site I ordered from, they were selling them for a good price, and yes i knew from the beginning they were fake. I pretty much bought them, cuz i wanted to see how they differentiate from the real ones.
To me, its totally not a big deal if its fake, as long as they provide me the colors that i want, I'm totally happy, and I know that a lot of you are anti "Fake Mac" but thats you guys. A lot of ppl have their own opinion on things, but frankly i just don't care things are real or not, i'm not totally all that high maintenance at all when it comes to makeup.
And with these eyeshadows that I bought, its not like i spent a lot of money..thats why i wanted to try it out, and to be honest, i might buy more things =)
So the only difference that I can see from them is the packaging of the mac pots, but the color pigments on them are amazing!!!!
So i pretty much wanted to make things clear with you guys, before you make anymore "fake" comments.
The truth of the matter is, i'm happy with my purchases =)

New Mac Haul

Yesterday I had the opportunity to put my freelance make up artistry work to the test. I worked with 5 graduate students, and let me tell you, I felt so pressured, just because they were all on a time crunch, so I had atleast 30 mins to complete each look.
I definately had a lot of fun, cuz i'm doing what I love to do, it was a gig with my friend and I, She did the hair, and I did the makeup.
There literally was no time to breathe, but it was an experience..and I get to grow from it.
At the end of all 5 appointments, I had totally killer back pains, I could not stand up straight, nor bend down...I killed my back like mad. I really have to invest in a directors chair, just so I don't have to hunch over all the time, it definately doesn't help when your pregnant. =(

NetBooks, Notebooks?

After hearing all the hype about a netbook, it totally makes me want to get one. I was wondering what is the difference between a netbook and a regular laptop was, because never in my life had I ever owned a laptop. I've wanted one before, but just never ended up purchasing one, instead i just bought a regular PC desktop computer, just for everyone to use.
Since seeing this netbook, it just looks like something that I would want for myself, its small, cute, and very portable. The only thing that might be different with a Netbook and a laptop is that it does not have a cd/dvd player, it's major intend would be mainly for, browsing the web, doing little office work/homework, checking emails. I'm not too sure if you could do gaming activities on it or not. I guess that it is just a very cute design for people who are on the go, and don't always want to carry that excess weight around with them. The prices on them are not that bad aswell, so who knows, if i feel like I need to get some extra work done, and check my emails when I'm not at home, I might consider purchasing one, just so I could feel that I'm updating myself with technology.

Time for an Update

Hey Bloggettes!! I just want to let yall know that I'm still alive =) I know that it's been a while since i posted anything on my blog, and I apologize for that.
I've just been really busy and super tired lately. I've just been really pooped these days after starting my new job as a make up artist, this is my very first time working 2 jobs, and let me tell ya..its hard, and tiring as hell, especially at the fact that i'm 5 months prego. But hey, I totally love my new job. I've been training for the past week...and i actually got to do a few clients, and it was so fun!!!
This past Sunday, I had to work 6:30 am to do some hair updo's at work, and to tell you, I was hella scared, It's been like so long since i ever did a hair updo (fyi..i took a cosmetology course a few years back, but i didn't complete the course).
So I pretty much did like 2 peoples hair, and you know what? It actually turned out pretty good!!!
I was super impressed with myself, i didn't know that I had it in me. I wished that I could've took a pic of it so I could show yall.
But yeah, I'm loving this new career of mine, besides working for a cosmetic company, I am also doing a little bit of Freelancing now, pretty much only here locally in Peg City.
I have a few Grad makeup to do, and a wedding next month...I'm super duper excited!!!

Anyhoo...I hope soon i can do a look for you guys, I've been sporting some awesome colors lately, but I was to lazy to be a camera whore and take pictures.
But soon my lovely ladies...soon!!!

It's a Junior

Hello y'all, so I'm having my 3rd child, and I will be due in October. My husband and I just came back from my ultrasound, and the news is, I'm having a boy!!!! It's not totally confirmed yet, because they weren't allowed to tell the gender, but we saw a little dingy- ding between the wee little legs, so that means JUNIOR.
I'm so happy =) I finally have each gender for children, I was afraid I was going to have another girl, I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a girl, but for the sake of my husband, I wanted a boy.
So yay!!! I hope this is it, I don't want to have any more kids. I'm done with 3, and I don't want to go through the terrible pain of labour. So 3 kids by the age of 25...whoo..i move fast..haha

Alright, so I'm a little bit disappointed. I thought I was totally going to walk out of Sephora will a lot of things, but I only left with 4 items, and spent $80.

When I was there, i was just in awe, too many brands to choose from, I couldn't decide. I had put so many different things in my basket, then put it back on the shelf, it was just so hard to shop.
I was grabbing things as if this was my only time I can step foot into Sephora, then I realized, "hey, Sephora is going to be here forever, so why do I have to buy everything now? I can always come back whenever I want" So i pretty much just grabbed the things that I really needed.

Yay, I'm so excited!!!! Sephora's Grand opening is today!!!! I've been anxiously waiting to go down there and get my hands on all the goodies!!!!
My Birthday is coming up, so this will be an early birthday present to myself!!!! Eeekk... I can't wait, i'm just waiting for my husband to come home so We can hurry and go to the mall!!! I'm kind of nervous, because I don't know how much money i'm gonna spend.

Hey girlies, Ok, so I'm kind of contemplating whether or not to pull through this sale thing of mine. This sale that I'm having won't be anything make up related, its of my designer hand bags. Most of the bags are Chanel, I've been a Chanel Lover for years, I was completely obsessed with it, but lately my love of Chanel has Died =( I don't know, I think its because everywhere I go, everyone has Chanel, and it's just not original anymore, and it just doesn't appeal as much to me.
So instead of having then sit in my closet, I thought maybe i'd sell it to people who are more interested in it than I am.

My take on Arabic eyes

So this time around I decided to go for a look that I'm not used to, something more dramatic, and obviously a look that I am not going to wear out.
I was totally bored, so I wanted to play around with with an Arabic eye, this was a look I wanted to try out for a while, so this is what I came up with.

Just In case you noticed, on my Flamboyant eyes post I was wearing the same top, that is because I did these 2 looks on the same day. hehe

I'm just a bit over excited, "Why" you ask? Because I got a new job as a Jr Makeup artist! =D I just got a phone call the other day from the cosmetic company I will be working for, asking me if i'm still interested in a position with them, I said, "for sure!" I was so ecstatic, I thought I wasn't going to get it, because it's been like over a month since I had my interview.
If you remember a few posts back, I had mentioned I had a job interview, the Company name is called "Provici Cosmetics, and I believe its only here in Winnipeg, but if you are interested in their products, you can check out their site here.
I pretty much have to wait for the phone call from the owner to set up some scheduling dates.
I feel that my life is just beginning, this is my dream, and to start of this way, will definately help succeed in the future. I also have a few gigs to do make up for a bridal entourage, so I'm pretty excited for that!
My dreams of becoming a make up artist and freelance artist is soon starting to arise =) Wish me luck!!

Traditional Smokey Eyes

I was on my way to the dentist this day, I had to go for a check up because my wisdom teeth were coming in again. And this time was it ever painful, it was so bad to the extent that the whole right side of my face was "swollen" like seriously, it ballooned, it looks so bad. Well it actually looked like I had food stuffed in one side of my face.
With that, I had to take the top right side of my wisdom teeth out, and it actually wasn't that bad.
So my appointment was to see if the swelling had gone down, which it did, so now i'm happy =)
So I decided to do a very quick look, kind of like the Traditional smokey eye look.

American Idol Winner

So the American Idol winner has been crowned to "KRIS ALLEN". This news came as a major shock to me, don't get me wrong, I love Kris, I think he is an amazing singer, a bunch of his performances on Idol Gave me chills because he was so good, But i was totally rooting For the Rocker "ADAM LAMBERT" all the way. His singer style is so fetch!!! He does it like no other, so different and so unique, and he can definately hit those high notes!!!
I was totally nervous for them to announce the winners, like I said, I was rooting for Adam to win, but i was telling myself "I bet it's going to be Kris, because he has such a huge fan base. Well he deserves it, I think that he is very cute, and has an amazing soulful acoustic style.
Although Kris has taken home the award for the Winner of American Idol, Adam Lambert is going to make it far, he most definitely will get the recording contract, and I will be there to buy his album when it comes out.

Plum and Lime Green eyes

Here is another look that I did on my way to work. I call it the Plum and Lime green eyes. I was thinking about different color combination, and i thought that it would be a neat idea to try these colors out together, since I've never done these colors before. It's a very settle look, and nothing to dramatic, thats why i love it.

I use only affordable make up, since right now in my life i'm living on a tight budget, so this could also be a good thing for those of you out there who can't always afford expensive make up.

On my eyes i used
-Lime green eye shadow from Ardene's ( applied that all over the lid)
-Plum purple color from the 88 e/s pallet from coastal scents
(applied that to the crease and slightly above it)
-Black e/s from the same pallet and applied that on my outer crease, at the same time, I blended all the colors together, to get a nice soft look.

On my face i used
cover girls loose powder
blush from annabelle (forgot what color it is

On my lips i used
Creme de nude from mac

and Voila...we're done!!!!

Yellow and Blue eyes

I decided to do a mini tutorial on this look I created. Its a yellow and blue combo, its a really easy look to do. I was just going over to my moms house this weekend, so it kind of gave me an excuse to do a look. Lately I've been lacking doing looks and Tutorials..that i decided to kick myself in the butt, and say "Let's get started again.
So here are the steps that I did, to achieve this look.
1. First I took NYX Jumbo pencil in "Pots & Pans" and applied that over my whole lid, and blending it with my finger.
2. Next I took Yellow from the NYX trio pallet and applied that to my inner half of the lid.
3. Now I grabbed MAC's Submarine and applied that to the outer half of the lid.
4. Now for the outer V, I took MAC's Carbon and applied that to the outer corners
5. I finished it off with eyeliner and mascara, I also applied the same blue shadow to my lower lash line, and I used a white peal eyeshadow from ardenes and used that as a highlight to my brow bone

Weight loss is such a big issue, for both men and women. Reading the article http://www.web-articles.info/e/a/title/Lose-weight-understand-all-the-details/ really set things straight.
Now a days, men and women are striving to shed every extra pound off, just so they can look and feel good. I myself know this, because I am definitely one of those women. It is so easy to say that we want to lose weight, but the process of doing so is very hard. You need a lot of determination, motivation, and self discipline to be able to fulfill your wants and needs. It is true that women take losing weight more seriously than men do, its about the whole beauty thing.
I find that a woman wants to be perfect, have that perfect shape, perfect body, great abs, great tone, so that it could boost up their self esteem, and have more confidence in them, especially if they want to attract the right men. I'm not saying that men don't really care about losing weight, but from what I see, some of them are just not that obsessed with the whole working out, and eating right routine.
Even if it isn't working out to look good, it definitely makes you a healthier person, and perhaps, makes you live a lot longer.
We just have to make sure to watch our intake on foods and drinks, especially cutting down with the smoking and alcohol, that certainly won't do any good.

Back From my Job Interview

So I just got back from my Interview, I was absolutely nervous before I got there, but as Soon as I met Anthony, I felt a little calm, because he was so nice. =)
I felt that the interview itself went well ( well I hope it did). I just know if I work for that Line, part of my life will be complete, knowing that I'm working in the kind of career field that I want, and what makes me happy. It just totally feels so inviting.
The one thing that I'm feeling a little uneasy about, was the last part of my interview, I was totally caught off guard. I had to stop any one individual in the mall, and ask if they would like to get a free make up touch up. When I think about how I reacted, I now feel so stupid, I wish i hadn't reacted the way I did, I was like "OMG Really?" When I think about it, I should of reacted in a way where i was like "Sure! I could do that!" Even though I was running around with nerves in my body, I shouldn't have shown that I was scared.
I really hope that that part won't affect my overall interview. I wasn't able to get a client on my own, everyone that I seemed to approach declined my offer, so that's when I got the help of my interviewer, he got one girl for me, and I basically had to do a quick make up application on her. He pretty much wanted to see how I work with a brush, and how closely I interact with the client, I felt that I did ok, but I know i could've done better =(. If only I can turn back time.
So all I can do know is just cross my fingers and pray, and just wait.
I hope it's all positive in the end.

God's Treasure

Last Saturday afternoon, my family and I decided to go to the mini carnival to take the kids on some rides.
Just as we were lining up to take the girlies on the Merry-go-round, a gentleman with 2 young girls approached us.
"Excuse me" he says, "we're on a treasure hunt, and one thing on our list was something purple, and we noticed you daughter's boots were purple". Then he shows us their list on paper, and he again asks us "Does any of the names here mean anything to you?" There were like 2 or 3 names on the list, but only one stood out to me, one being the name "Kiah" (pronounced Kee-Yah), and when I saw that name, I freaked out a little because I told him that "My daughters name is Queyah (pronounced Kay-Yah).
After I told him that, he started talking about God, How God sent him in our direction to pray upon. It was really wierd how everything happened..how the names were coincidental, but then he asks us if we had anything we wanted them to pray for.
Since my husband and I were both kind of religious people, we let them pray for us, I mentioned that "i have a job interview coming up, and maybe you could pray for that". So as we stood in our own little circle, in the middle of the carnival, all 3 of them prayed over us. And In the end, one of the girls told us that "You guy's are God's Treasure".
I don't know, maybe it was really God calling out to them to really pray for us, but what if it is some kind of scam? I don't think so, because we didn't give them any personal information, just our names. So who knows..maybe we are the Treasure.

Job Interview

Hey y'all, so as I was driving home from work today, my cell phone rang. When I saw the #, i didn't recognize it, so I got a little bit nervous and excited. My heart started beating really fast. So when I answered it and heard another girls voice at the other end, and I immediately new what the call was about, the girl was a team member for Provici Cosmetics.
I was screaming in the inside, I was totally waiting for this call all week. So i finally have a job interview next thursday for Provici cosmetics. Anthony Polvorosa is the Head artist for Provici, and he had made a post on Facebook that he was looking to Hire exuberant, makeup loving, trend embracing jr apprentices for PROVICI Cosmetics. I jumped at the opportunity, I sent in resume after resume, until i get a phone call...and Finally I did.
I'm so excited, but I shouldn't be to over excited, because I don't want to get my Hopes up.

All you can eat..Japanese

I have found my new favorite Japanese restaurant. Not only is it sushi, but it's all you can eat. That's the best part of it. =)
My husband and I actually have been going to this other Japanese Restaurant here in Winnipeg, called Miso. That restaurant was our favorite hot spot until we started going to Mooshiro, and the fact that there was a s staple (yes a staple) inside one of my husbands sushi roll.
They pretty much serve the same things, but I find that some of the things in their menu taste a little bit different (in a positive way) than Miso.

The other thing that got me loving this restaurant was the super fast service, after passing over your order, within 5 minutes they are serving it to you.
I don't think I have encountered such fast service at a restaurant Ever. I don't even think McDonald's is that fast, and they are supposed to be a fast food restaurant.

So I'm totally giving Mooshiro 5*****, for fast and great service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Japanese food.

Winnipeg Weather....SUCKS!!!!

Sometimes I wonder what I am doing here still in Winnipeg.
I don't know what it is about Winnipeg's weather, maybe it's the global warming or something, but I don't know, Mother Nature can not seem to make up its mind.

It's the middle of April, and there is still a bit of snow falling down....What the Heck????
K, get this, just last month almost all the snow was melted, and the temp reached a high of +10, then the next day or so, it SNOWED like 10cm of snow, it was like CHRISTMAS all over again.
So +10 went down to a low of -30, in just a matter of 2 days...UnFreakenBelievalbe...It's crazy and SOOOOOO Annoying.

Then just a few days ago, our temperature reached a high of +16 on Wednesday, and +18 on Thursday, it was so beautiful out, I thought this would finally be the beginning of Winnipegs Summer. Everybody was in their summer attire, tank tops, shorts, sandals, people even playing different sports in the park.
Then Friday hit...it was so cold >(, the high was like +5 or something, but I'm not too sure what the low was, but all I know is that it was so cold and windy. From Summer shorts to Parka and gloves in one day...isn't it Crazy??
To top it off, it's super flooded in some parts of the city...Goodness....That's Winnipeg for you, it's pretty depressing. That is why a lot of people here are getting sick, because it's cold one day, hot the next, then back to cold again. Oh how I wish I lived in Las Vegas. I HATE WINNIPEG'S WEATHER!!
Well they say that it will be a high of+25 on Wednesday, the weather better be consistent...and no more of stupid annoying weather change...after Wednesday, and the weather becomes cold AGAIN, i'm seriously packing my bags....well maybe not...but I certainly wish. =(

The long awaited cosmetic and Fragrance store will soon be making its debut in just a matter of weeks.
Sephora will be opening it's first location here in Winnipeg's Polo Park Shopping Center this coming May.
With the store opening, there will be a lot of make up hungry Pegger's waiting to get their hands on some goodies. Those which include Urban Decay, Bare Essentials, Kat Von D, Nars, just to name a few.
Having Sephora here in Winnipeg is a lot more convenient, it saves you from the long drive to the States, or other parts of Canada, and it also saves you a few $$ from ordering online, and paying the shipping and handlin fees.
I, myself am super duper excited for the store to open, I'll be one of the ansxious girls waiting till they open its door for the first time, or better yet, being employed with Sephora....Keeping my fingers crossed.

So a while back I purchased a few items from GOSH, and let me tell you...I Love their Products!!
The Lipsticks and Lip glosses are my Faves.
Although I've purchases some eyeshadows, I'm not much of a fan of them. I just find that the color payoff is not all that great. I seem to pack it on so many times before I get the color consistency that I want. I don't know, maybe it is just me, it might work out for some of you.
One thing I really like though about the GOSH eyeshadows are their packaging, it's so Pretty =)

OK...So i know that the Movie Twilight was out like last December...but for some odd reason..I only heard of the movie a few days ago..and I just watched it last week.

Omg..let me just tell you...Edward Cullen!!!!aaaahhh...he's such a hottie. I'm so in love with this guy.

I hope that everyone had a great New years. As for me..it was quite alright..although i spent it with my loved ones..it wasn't all the cheered up as it was supposed to be.

We were supposed to go to 2 different parties..but we ended up going to Neither, cuz both my girls were sick, and we didn't want to keep taking them in and out of places in the crazy -40 degree weather, so we just stayed home.

I didn't even realize that it was new years until maybe 5 minutes after 12..when i checked the time i got up said a blunt "happy new years to my hubby" and sat back down and kind of fell asleep..hehe how's that for a New years for you?

But thank god we were all safe..and together..last new years was a sad one for me..i spent it at the Childrens Hospital with my then 1 month old daughter...she had a high fever that reached 40 degrees..so that rushed a stay in the hospital for 3 days..rough i tell yah..

Any hoo..since i neglected to post some pictures of some looks i created over the past week..i might as well do it now =)

The first few pictures i am going to show is of a Christmas look i created on Christmas Day!

I made a video for this look too..but with the new camera i got..and the new program that it came with...it's so difficult for me to upload it and post it..so i'll just show the pics for now.

For my eyes i used

-Udpp all over the lid
-Serge louis Alvarez pigment in a golden shade (it didn't say the color) above my crease line
- Annabelle "cool mint" pigment all over my lid
- the deep red shade from my 88 cs pallet and applied that on my crease..inbetween were the gold and green meet
- the black shade from my cs pallet and applied that on my outer corners
-lined my eyes with "black ink" from bonnebelle
-curled my lashes with Lash blast
- Finished it off with NYC 974C lashes

Hey guys, sorry that I've been gone for so long..i've just been totally busy!!! My youngest daughter just turned 1 on November 13, and I was so busy with preparing for her party, doing last minute invitations, finishing up her giveaways, and making part of the birthday sign.
I will post some pictures up very soon, once i get the pictures back from our amazing photographer =)
Now that the party is over and done with..i have more time on my hands to do more videos.
So i just wanted to keep you all updated..and let you know that I am still alive..ehehe

Jesse's girl Bejeweled Quad

This is a look that I created with one of the 4 Jesse's girl Bejeweled quads that I Ordered. 3 out of the 4 colors i used were, blue, brown and silver, I'm pretty sure you can tell by the picture. I did this look because i was on my way to take passport pictures..i don't know why i chose these colors, because with what I know..your look has to be as natural as possible. When i was getting my picture taken, one of the girls had asked me to remove my lipstick, and they had questioned each other if my make up was tolerable for passport pictures. It was a good thing it was ok, otherwise i'd be rubbing off my make up infront of everyone....eeekk.
In the end..i hated my picture...my eyes looked so dead and droopy, grr..now i gotta live with that passport pic for 5 years.
Anyhoo..I made a video as well for this look on my Youtube channel..the video for this look was fun for me to make, so don't my little opening act to the video, I was just having fun..and plus i Love the new Beyonce song "SINGLE LADIES"

Pretty Purple

I did this pretty purple look using coastal scents, Nyx and Mac. On this day I was preparing for Philippines biggest game show "Wowowee" which came here to Winnipeg, their only Canadian stop. It was such a fun fun show!!!

I GOT MAH NAILS DID!!

This is my first attempt at trying to do my own nails, not bad huh? I prefer to do my own nails rather than going to a salon and getting it done, its saves me money that way..oohh..and i love saving money ;p.
So what I did was take fake tips and applied them to the tip of my nails..then i filed them down so that it blends with my real nail. Then i french tiped them with a little bit of silver, and added some nail decor to dazzle it up a bit.
Aren't they Perrttyy?? hehe

Baby Mikayla

I went to visit my friend and her new born baby Mikayla Rei, she is so cute!!! I totally forgot how to hold a new born baby..after having two kids, you would think you'd never forget..but I did. I guess when it is someone else is baby, they feel a little more fragile. Aww..it makes me want to have another one..my younest daugher is turning 10 months..and I can't even remember her being that small..oh how time goes by..i'm so sad now :(
Aside from my sadness..hehe..baby Mikayla is a "Lucky baby" She is a triple 8 baby, born 08/8/2008, pretty cool huh.

Since the Coastal Scent pallets e/s are not labelled, I decided to label them myself, so that when I make tutorials..its easier for me to say which e/s i'm using. So I basically labelled them by color and number.

Kat Von D Inspired Look

I decided to have some fun, and try to achieve a Kat Von D look. HEr look is very wild, with the dark eyeshadow, and red lipstick. I normally do not wear red lipstick, because I personally feel that it does not suit me one bit. I bought this red lipstick specifically for this look only!
So anyway, I love Kat, and i love her style, it's very edgy, and rocker like, and I love it!!!
So I tried this look, even down to the stars on the side of her face =D I even added my blonde hair extensions for a punch of edginess.

Been a While

So it's been a while since I've posted anything...so let's see..what have I been up to?
I've been on a job hunt this past month..since my maternity leave is ending August 31, I wanted to get a new job cuz i've been at my present job ( well this would be my 6th year there), and I just wanted to experience something new. I got hired at this job, i went in for training for 4 days..and I didn't like it, specifically for 2 main purposes, so I quit, and I'll just leave it at that.
So I kept on applying for different positions. Two days ago I got a call for 2 interview for 2 different companies, I was excited, I've been waiting for weeks for someone to call me. Since i had 2 job opportunities, i felt that at least one of them would hire me after my interview.
So I was talking with my hubby about it, and he made a suggestion for me to just keep my job..i really didn't want to..but i did. So I shafted the 2 job interviews that were waiting in line for me, for my job that doesn't make me happy at all.

My reason for doing this is because, In February We all will be going on a family trip to the Philippines for 3 weeks, and most likely at a new job, they won't let me leave for vacation that soon...and with my present job, i don't think it will be a problem for them if i go, so i decided to look for a new job till after i come back from my trip, and plus i'm going to be taking up a course at red river college this sept..it's only for 4 months, and who knows, maybe when i come back from the Phil, i could get a job from that course I took.
We'll just see..aside from that my long anticpated make up pallet finally arrived today..I was so happy. Coastal scents 88 shimmer eyeshadow pallet....I love it!!!

I decided to enter a make up contest, just for fun. Its a contest on you tube for fellow make up gurus like me. Lately I've been into achieving different looks with different colors, so I thought, why not show case my skills. I'm not that good..but I learn everyday to be the best I can.
So this contest is a response video by a youtuber called Pinkmacprincess. Her Contest involves creating a look that somewhat symbolizes you astrological sign. So I am a Gemini..and a gemini's color is emerald...so I decided to do a emerald Green look.

I was putting on my make up, then I heard the neighbor dog barking (which usually means there's new people around). I went to the kitchen and saw a Purolator truck outside, I got so excited because my long awaited package had arrived.
I opened my door, and saw my beautiful package in the mail, I was totally shaking with excitement.Here's a look at what I got.

Queyah's Mini Makeover

So I wondered what my youngest daughter Queyah (pronounced Kay-ya) would look like with straight hair. She has crazy curly afro hair, and it is cute..but i kind of like the straight look better. I know that it's bad, but i went ahead and straightend it anyway. I loved the results.. and i wish that it would just naturally be straight.

Purple and Teal

It was a Rainy Friday afternoon, and I was bored, so I played around with one of the things that I love, and that's make up!
So I did a purple teal look, i love colors, and since it is summer..these looks could look hot!
I do have a lot of make up, whether it be an expensive brand like MAC, or a cheap drugstore brand like Wet n wild. I don't know..I just like playing around with all brands and colors.

So what i used for my eyes.
- I used Revlons All over glow Creme white shadow as a base
- for the inner corner of my lid i used a teal eyeshadow from my Claire's pallet
- For the outer V corner of my lids I used Purple from NYX
- As a highlight on my brow bone..i used vanilla from MAC
- Lined my eyelids with a teal Liner, then near the lash line i lined again with Maybelline's water proof liquid liner
- Inner lower lash line i lined with the teal liner, then on the outer I lined with the purple from NYX.
- In my tear duct i used black ink from bonbelle for the liner.

Lil Booties

My daughter's 1st birthday isn't until November..but I've already started on her giveaways.
I'm very into arts and crafts, I especially love making invitations and personalized birthday cards, these aren't just those simple boring easy kinds, these come creatively through my crafty/fancy imagination.
Well with these giveaways that I did, i had to think long and hard for them, I wanted something different, and not something that you would just purchase at your Local Dollarama store. So i thought of making these cute little booties, it's a lot of work..but worth it..i just love the look of them..they are simple yet fancy and for the most CUTE!

Urban Decay

So I don't know what it is these days, but I just feel that I'm obsessing over Make up too much.
There is this product that I'm really eager to purchase from Urban Decay and it is a Primer Potion (UDPP). What this product does is it helps make the eyeshadow last longer on your eyes, and also (get this) it prevents CREASING!! This is definitely a must have for me, especially on these summer days, where the weather is hot, my eyeshadow tends to crease, and my whole look is just ruined.
I was going to purchase the UDPP from their website, but Unfortunately they do not ship internationally which is a total bummer. Luckily enough I'm having a family member go down to the states this summer, so maybe I'll ask them to stop off at Sephora's for me, CAN'T WAIT!
So for those of you who suffer from the same problem (fading eyeshadow and creasing) Do get this Product..it's FORREALS!

So I just ordered the 24 Piece Shimmer Eye Shadow Pallet from "Coastal Scents", I'm really excited about it. I've heard a lot of good raves about this particular brand, and I just can't wait to try them all out!
What i'm really wanting to order from Coastal Scent is the "88 piece make up pallet, its always out of stock though, but I'm keeping my eyes open till they restock in July.
